It’s Jog-A-Thon!

This is our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Every penny raised goes directly to our school community. The funds help pay for field trips, supplies and equipment, music and art classes, supporting fellow families and classmates through hard times, and many of our fun community traditions and events. See below for important Jog-A-Thon information for families AND ways you and your family can help: 


Jog-A-Thon 2023 is happening on Friday, October 27th! Jog-A-Thon is Monte Vista’s biggest fundraiser and helps pay for field trips, classroom supplies, and much, much more!

There are many opportunities to help with Jog-A-Thon. First, you can help your little Penguin(s) collect per-lap pledges or one-time donations from family and friends. Second, you can donate granola bars or whole-fruit snacks to help fuel our Penguins after the jog. Finally, you can volunteer either on Thursday October 26th from 4:00-6:00 PM or during the Jog-A-Thon on Friday by emailing

Then, on Friday, October 27th, please send your child to school in securely tied running shoes and with a full water bottle. Families are welcome to come cheer their child/childen on during their scheduled jogging time! We are asking all visitors to check-in at the main office before joining us on the front lawn.

So...Start collecting those pledges, and let’s see how far our Penguins can jog, walk, or waddle! We look forward to seeing you all there!

Once your Penguin has completed Jog-A-Thon, you can send in pledge payments by cash or check to Monte Vista in your student's pledge envelope, or you can use the PayPal button below and pay online. Thanks for your support!
